A diagnosis made by our lecturer when one friend modified part of his history of presenting illness about a patient's loss of consciousness..just a minor detail..about
' Mdm R a 38 year old lady presented with history of not being able to be awakened from sleep after 4 hrs. This was discovered by her daughter who just came back from work.....
and around the end of the whole report
' Mdm R lives with her husband in a wooden house.All her children live in different states around Malaysia'
Our Lecturer: StOP!. are u lying?normally no child wouldbe outstation and comes back from work around evenign to their mother's house
Friend: Erk..sorry i lied. She didnt come back from work. she accidentally came back home that day
Our lecturer: Plz dont make it a habit. Your seniors failed his final exams because he lied. He didnt examine the patient and said he did and he created his own findings. We examine our patients first before letting you examine them. Ok tell me about the physical findings. Any relevant findings u would like to point out
Friend: Actually i didnt find anything relevant after examining her.. evrything is fine
OUr lecturer: Are you sure.. you are telling me she is diabetic and she does not have any signs of complications?
Friend: aaaa..ok..i lied again..i didnt examine her
Our lecturer: Please tell honestly if u didnt examine the patient. You are a danger to society!
While looking at the ECG of the patient, one person tried to interpret it and it was wrong.
Ourlecturer: Ahaa..lying again.what is it with you people and lying. Is this contagious?
